Administration

The administrative staff at the Town Hall is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of Town government and providing essential services to residents. Working under the direction of the Board of Selectmen, the staff support municipal operations through administration, finance, records management, tax collection, and welfare assistance.

The Board Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer for the Board of Selectmen, coordinating the activities of the Selectmen's Office, supporting Board initiatives, facilitating communication among Town departments and officials, and helping to ensure the efficient delivery of municipal services. The Finance Manager serves as the Town's chief financial officer and oversees budgeting, accounting, payroll, financial reporting, purchasing, grants, and other financial operations to ensure responsible stewardship of public funds and the Town's long-term financial stability.

The Town Clerk/Tax Collector's Office provides a wide range of services to residents, including maintaining official Town records, administering elections, processing vehicle and boat registrations, issuing licenses, recording vital records, and collecting property taxes and other municipal revenues. The Welfare Manager administers the Town's General Assistance program in accordance with New Hampshire law, assisting eligible residents experiencing temporary financial hardship and connecting them with available resources and support services.
