Beginning March 18, 2020 until further notice, Town Hall is restricted to limited access per vote of the Board of Selectmen at their meeting on March 17, 2020. Due to the change in Town Hall access, the Welfare Department will be adjusting the application process, and will be limiting appointments to emergency situations only, by appointment until further notice. Email, standard mail, fax, and phone calls will become the standard for submission of an application for general assistance.
If you are applying for general assistance due to: a disconnect for utility services, the utility cannot shut off your service at this time; an eviction, your landlord cannot evict you during this emergency declaration; and if due to a reduction of hours or layoff, you need to apply to NH Employment Security for unemployment benefits as soon as possible.
FOR INFORMATION REGARDING EMERGENCY UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS, PLEASE CONTACT:

NHES is in charge of processing the emergency unemployment benefits associated with the Covid-19 virus. Please have patience when trying to get on the website or calling the office, as there are thousands of people trying to access the sites at the same time.
