About Us
The library was established in 1895 to serve as the public library for the citizens of Pittsfield, NH. We offer both a print and digital collection for children, teens and adults, as well as technology services and programming for all ages.
Mission
The mission of the Josiah Carpenter Library is to provide open access for all to pursue and stimulate knowledge, entertainment and lifelong learning by providing resources in an inclusive community gathering space.
