The Suncook Valley Area Lions Club is holding a “Calendar Raffle” for the month of October. Tickets are $5.00 each. Each day of the month prizes will be drawn with values from $25-$250. ANNUAL SVSR MUM SALE on Sept 15th At Mike’s Meat Shoppe
We will be selling mums, hay bales, corn stalks and pumpkins.
Mums $7 each, 3 for $20. Come support the snowmobile club! Proceeds help fund trail maintenance, our grooming equipment and more! Mike’s Meat Shoppe is located at the intersection of NH Route 28 and Upper City Road in Pittsfield, NH.

The Infant Toddler Diaper Pantry will be open on Tues, Sept 17 from 9-11 am at the First Congregational Church. Young families are given supplemental diapers and wipes. Everyone is welcome. Please use the Chestnut Street entrance. Monetary and product contributions are always welcome. Please call the church at 435-7471 to arrange drop-off.

The Pittsfield Historical Society continues to raise funds for the new Museum and Headquarters. A commemorative garden on the Museum grounds is being worked on. A “BUY-A-BRICK” project affords an opportunity for people to buy a brick to honor yourself, loved ones past or present or whomever you wish to remember. The Suncook Valley Chorale Open Sing will be held on Monday, September 16th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Concord High School Band Room. Auditions for The Pittsfield Players production of “SCROOGE, The Musical” are September 25th & 26th at 7PM at the Scenic Theater, 6 Depot Road, Pittsfield, NH. Come prepared to read, dress to move. PMHS Homecoming – Sat, Sept. 21 at Drake Field. A day filled with soccer games and homecoming floats! 9am – Middle School Girls VS CCA, 11am- Varsity Girls VS Farmington, 1pm- Varsity Boys VS Farmington and 3pm- Middle School Boys VS Farmington. The floats will be displayed during the half times of the varsity games.The varsity boys will get to participate on the floats during the varsity girls half time and the varsity girls will get to participate on the floats during the half time of the boys game. The parades during half time will replace the parade through town. 6:30-8:30pm – PMHS Café- MS Dance and 7-10pm – PMHS Gym- HS Dance.

New Library Cards for Everyone! Current software prefers numbers that have fourteen digits, but Pittsfield’s library cards currently have eight digits. So, the library is giving new cards to every library borrower! Please visit the library to get your new card. If you use your library account to download eBooks, audio books or stream TV and movies, you will need to have a new library card number by October 19th. In honor of the library’s upcoming 125th birthday (in 2020) the first 125 people to claim their new card will be entered into a drawing for a batch of homemade cookies!

The PHS Alumni Association will meet on Mon, Sept 16 at 6:30 at PMHS in the conference room near the lobby. If you attended or graduated from PHS/PMHS- you are automatically a member of the Alumni Association. Come join us!!

Pittsfield Historical Society 2020 Calendars for sale – This year’s theme is Transportation in Pittsfield. The methods of transportation evolved over time and the calendar has many examples: wagons, trains, bicycles, early cars, motorcycles, and busses. There is also a unique picture of an airplane, piloted by Harry N. Atwood, that landed beside Dr. Frank Sargent’s rehabilitation center at 22 Catamount Road. As with all the Historical Society’s calendars, there is a brief history explaining each picture!. Cost is still $10.00 per calendar and is available at Pittsfield Hist. Society and Pittsfield Town Hall .
