The Suncook Valley Sno-Riders will be selling Mums on Sun, Sept. 16 from 9-3pm at the Exit Reward Realty field, corner of River Rd and Route 28.

Bone Builders Exercise Program meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:00 am at the Pittsfield Senior Center  This is a free one-hour weight training program that is designed to help increase your muscle strength, bone density, and balance.  Bone Builders Exercise Program relies upon weight bearing exercise to protect against fractures.  Bone Builder’s Class is held on the first floor of the Pittsfield Community Center.  Beginners and advanced participants welcome and weights are provided. The Community Development Committee (CDC) has been working with NH First Impressions.  They are looking for suggestions and input from the Community.  “What would you like to see in Downtown Pittsfield’s Future?”  Please take a few minutes and think about this and send an email to or drop a note/letter off at the Town Hall, Attn: CDC.

The 12th Annual PMHS Boys Basketball Program Golf Tournament will be held on Sun, Sept 16 at Loudon Country Club.  Registration is at 8:30am; Shotgun start at 9am and Awards/Dinner at 1pm.  Single golfer- $90 (includes golf, cart, dinner and awards) or Team registration – 4 players- $360.  For more information, contact Jay Darrah at 435-

Children’s programs at the Josiah Carpenter Library are transitioning to the school year schedule and we are happy to announce the beginning of a new weekly activity for children in 3rd thru 6th grade. Creating Adventures Club will meet on Wednesday from 2:00-3:15pm – come and explore building  with Legos, making  your own robots, creating stop motion movies, and much more!

Library Story Hour for preschoolers, families and caregivers will continue on Thursday at 10:00am; and Adventures Club for children in kindergarten thru 3rd grade will continue on Tuesday from 3:30 – 4:45 pm. Younger children will be learning about stars and the solar system, and at 7:00pm on Friday, September 21st we’ll have a star gazing session at the Tilton Hill Ball Field.   There will be a couple of telescopes for people to try out along with star gazing guides and instruction.

The Infant Toddler Diaper Pantry will be open on Tues, Sept. 18 from 9-11am at the First Congregational Church.  Young families are given supplemental diapers and wipes.  Everyone is welcome.  Please use the Chestnut St. entrance.  Monetary and product contributions are welcome.  Please call the church at 435-7471 to arrange for drop off.

On Tues, Sept. 18 at 10:30am at the Senior Center, Live Music Performance by Bill Parker.  Bill plays the harmonica, keyboard and sings – he performs a wide variety of music.  The show is free- please come to enjoy the show and stay for lunch.  To RSVP for lunch, please call 435-8482.

At the Senior Center -Open House on Thurs, Sept 20 from 9am – 12pm. Bingo -10-11:30 (if playing bingo at the center for the first time, the first game is free)  Lunch – 12pm.  Come to the Center and see what there is to do – share a meal – meet some new friends.

The Pittsfield Youth Workshop will hold an open house on Tues, Sept. 18 from 6-7pm.  Please stop in and see what PYW has to offer.  It is a fabulous program for ALL kids.
